ResponderEliminarI think that Justice must be understood from the relative of the victim, because he is the one who is suffering the consequences.
Death penalty, in my opinion, is an old fashioned way of punishment, that doesn`t helps to repair the damage of a crime. From my point of view, it`s a kind of vengeance executed by the system, because it doesn`t seems like an act of justice to me.
I can`t imagine a punishment for that what Steven Hayes did, if I try to be emphatic with the husband and father of the victims, I think I just had killed him with my hands. Steven Hayes must feel the pain he caused to this men soul and his family. I think Hayes must know all about the family he destroyed, and he must reflect about the consequences of his acts. I really don`t know what to think.
Death row is the time the condemned waits for execution.
The statistic showed that justice could be a source of injustice.
1200 people have been executed since 1973 in the USA.
It`s to inculcate in someone a fear for the punishment due an act, in the waiting of prevent some undesired event. As an attack, a crime, etc.
Of course not. Life in Mexico in a lot of cases had become an authentic punishment and criminals are decided to pay the price of high style life, even if they have to pay with his life. That`s what is happening rigth now with the 'narcos`. An evidence of this wave is the creation of -la santa muerte`s- cult. Also we the Mexicans have a very complex cultural background that makes me think death penalty will not work as a deterrent. ( As an example, our system is very corrupt, and to give to the government the capability to kill could be used against the population).
Do you think justice could bring closure to a relative of a murder's victim?
