Well the cities of the future are the main sources of technology, knowledge, innovation and creativity so I choose 2 Cities of the future and first is:
ResponderEliminar*Songdo,South Korea
This city is considered a model for smart cities around the globe but I think that is a good idea because all the offices, schools, houses etc, are close so we won't pay for gasoline or service transportation a lot than a big city and also the offices and schools are also connected to the network because this city off us video conferencing and is intended as a way to deliver education, health care and government services, so It's a good idea.
On the other hand It's a sustainable city because said that escalators only move when someone is on them so is interesting because Songdo take care the enviromental. The city is due for completion in 2015, by which time it will be home to 65,000 people and 300,000 workers. Comparative with other cities It will be a really smart city.
*Masdar, United Arab emirates
Wich means is SOURCE because is in the middle of the desert of Abu Dhabi. Their purpose is be the most sustainable city on the planet, Masdar is going to used a solar power station at its heart and wind farms providing energy for it, it aims to be carbon free. In a few words is a Renewable city, but all the city is going to be monitored. An awesome thing is the city is built on a raised platform to allow its "digital plumbers" easy access to the system of advanced technologies that run it. And The PRT will run 6m under street level across the city, amazing!!!!!!! and finally It is hoped that 40,000 people will eventually live in the city, with up to 50,000 commuting there each day.
In conclusion the cities of the future look our needs and try to resolve them, in some cases are good and others are bad however always help us. Tepic isn't a city of the future however can be modificated to be a sustainable city using renewable sources of energy and be capacitad and help with new technology.
RIO DE JANEIRO BRAZIL:
ResponderEliminarIn the next years Rio will be appearing in the world news with the Football world cup in 2014, so they had decided in 2010 tasked to IBM creating a sity-wide operation centre, that to manage the movement of traffic and public transportation systems and ensuring that power and water supplies work more efficiently.
with that kind of sistem the are planning keep a better control in cases of emergencies.
MASDAR, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
masdar is a city in the middle of the desert of Abu Dhabi in the UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, it's a sustainable city in fact the most susteinable in the world, all the services are monitored, the streets are pedestrian-friendly entirely car free, they hoppe that in the city will eventually live in the city.
unfortunately for other countries could have that kind of tecnology could be difficult because that deppends completely of the wealthy.
conclutions:
Eliminarthis kind of cities could be a great solution for a lot of problems in the world, unfortunatelity the cost it's high so the mayority of the countries in the world couldn't apply this kind of tecnology.
LONDON, ENGLAND
ResponderEliminarthis city wasn`t a good choice as a city of the future, but know people see it like a probability to be a power city of the future.
They started to do different projects that including a network of sensor to monitor air quality, traffic flow and water supply.
the people also started to understand the way people see the city.
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL
rio is one of the cities that wants to get smart.
they want to do a city-wide operations centre which connects all the city`s 30 agencies, from transport to the emergency services.
this project could help to manage the movement of traffic and publick transportation systems, also to have a more efficiently water supplies.
OPINION
i think tepic need to start to want to be smart talking bout technology. Tepic could use projects from rio de janeiro or another city to benefit it. if tepic get smart and use differents ways to get better, could be a better city.
MASDAR, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
ResponderEliminarMasdar is a city that is designed to be one of the most sustainable on the planet. This city is going to have a solar power station and wind farms providing energy. Everything in the city is measured and monitored.
The city is built on a raised platform with easy access to the sistem of advanced technologies that run it.
In this city will eventually live 40,000 people.
SONGDO, SOUTH KOREA
Songdo in South Korea, is considered to be a model for smart cities around the globe and Songdo's information systems are all linked to each other.
So, every home has a telepresence system and offices and schools are connected to the network.
It will live around 65,000 people and 300,000 workers.
OPINION
I think that Tepic will never be a city of the future or maybe a lot of year later because we don`t have a lot of technology and scientists neither, here in Tepic always take the ideas to other cities like Guadalajara, and that`s good to look better but i think that Tepic needs innovation and creation of new type of transportation or comunication maybe. If tepic will be a smart city, maybe we will live in better conditions.
BARCELONA, SPAIN.
ResponderEliminarI like the idea to create a hole new system in Barcelona, that new system won't need a survilance room, all system works automatic within the necessity of the humans hands as Rio de Janeiro will need. The transportition system would be more efficent but the city needs more that them to be a city of future.
SONGDO, SOUTH KOREA.
A city in a box, in a dishwasher... Ok the idea sounds weird to me!, but keep all things close improve to give all facilities to the population, water, electricity and other similar necessities of the sociallity could be more easy to get and carry. However create a city in a singular and small place can bring some trouble, disasters could be more terrible, only one earthquake could destroy all city in a half hour.
MY PERSONAL OPINION.
All ideas are good, but aren't enough! The sociality needs more than that to be a utopic sociality. The goods of the planet are less now, the pollution increase everyday in big scale. The cities need to be more eco-friendly and care to the enviroment, this planet is the only home for us, be careful with him.
SONGDO, SOUTH KOREA
ResponderEliminarI think it's good that it's being given the investment in Songdo, because this benefits 65,000 people and 300,000 workers. In addition, schools, offices and homes will benefit from the high technology that is being implemented in the city. which will allow the users to check the heating systems and locks, it offers video conferencing and is Intended as a way to deliver education, health care and government services.
LONDON, ENGLAND
I think that it's good that an important city such as London it's giving support in small projects as a incubator to test the algorithms that could power the cities of the future, including a network of sensors to monitor air quality, traffic flow and water supply. I think that it's good for all the people who live there, because it's a source of workes and a way to live better.
OPINION
I think that in Tepic is diffucult the advance, because nobody want to help it. Nobody take care the enviroment, and this is problem, because we have to do it, for to have a good place for to life.
Around the world new cities are being built while those we have lived in for centuries are being upgraded for the future.
ResponderEliminarSongdo in South Korea:
This city is considered a model for smart cities around the globe. Every home has a telepresence system built in like a dishwasher. As well as allowing users to control the heating systems and locks, it offers video conferencing and is intended as a way to deliver education, health care and government services. Offices and schools are also connected to the network.
The digital mastermind behind Songdo is Cisco, which supplies all the network-based technologies.
The city is due for completion in 2015, by which time it will be home to 65,000 people and 300,000 workers.
Masdar:
This city is reporting energy efficiencies of around 30%
Masdar, which means "source" in Arabic, is a city that stands in the middle of the desert of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
It is designed to be one of the most sustainable on the planet. With a solar power station at its heart and wind farms providing energy for it, it aims to be carbon free. Unsurprisingly, it is also a hub for clean-tech companies.
Everything in the city, from water to rubbish, is measured and monitored, becoming a source of information.
The city is built on a raised platform to allow its "digital plumbers" easy access to the system of advanced technologies that run it.
It is pedestrian-friendly and entirely car free. The city is experimenting with a network of electric driverless podcars.
Opinion:
A smarter city may mean one that uses data on traffic to ease congestion or one that aims to join up services to provide better information for citizens. For many it is about making cities greener and more efficient.
And I don't think that Tepic it will be never a smarter city if we don't move forward with new projects and a new way of life.
BUILDING CITIES OF THE FUTURE NOW
ResponderEliminarMasdar, United Arab Emirates.
Masdar ir located in a desert, it is designed to be one of the most sustainable on the planet. This city has a solar power station at its heart and wind farms providing energy, with the aim to be carbon free. It is pedestrian-friendly and entirely car free. It is a multi-billion project, hard to be replicated in other countries.
Rio de Janerio, Brazil.
Rio built a operation centre wich coordinates all the city´s 30 government departments, from transport to the emergency services. It means that officials can collaborate to manage the movement of traffic and public transportation systems, and also ensuring that power and water supplies work more efficiently. The aim is to have a coordinated response in the event of a crisis. They could mobilised emergency services, cut off gas supplies, etc. Also they tasked a sophisticated weather forecasting system for different data, as possible floods.
There are citizen-led projects, such as one which is working with residents in Rio's slums to design their own houses.
I think that the use of solar panels could be more in our city, with the aim of save energy, money and protect the planet. Also, to become this city to a pedestrian friendly is very interesting, but this action needs to improve considerably our public transport and our pedestrian culture, so, in this way we could aproach to a entirely car free city.
Also could be good to have an operation centre, to coordinate the city´s departaments, to improve different issues as traffic, public transportation, public services, emergency, etc.
Songdo in South Korea: for me it is the first city that has made major advances, the cuá serve as a base or target to reach bigger able to execute investment projects as information is presented a $ 35 billion to get to train and continually create smart cities that allow an advance in physical infrastructure and technology that achieves great things, caring energy and focusing it on things that allow the progress of both Songdo and other cities.
ResponderEliminarBarcelona Spain: The project which launched the Society of Protocol of the city's goal of uniting the cities around the world with companies, universities and other organizations to develop standards for a technology platform that works in any city , this will reach a higher and better development in Spain, which will help both academically, professionally, in the movement of the economy and directly increase development. Since joining forces achieved more.
In some cities there is a delay in terms of technology and economic growth for trasnformarse in a smart city, but it is important to create poyecto that enable economic growth and boosting technology so go nuevoas making the world a better world.
