Watch the following video and discuss whether is it possible that we could be experiencing technological stagnation due to big business interests. Also discuss what we could do as consumers to encourage the next technology leap. (150-200 words)

It's interesting and unfair that i saw in the video, but it's the cruel reality, for example in the video the narrator said that the price of gasoline and the electricity is the same that was not the disadvantage, because that kind of car could dissapear, so the reality it's that The Oil, it's a big business, and if this kind of cars come and invade the mart, the oil business could disappear.

ResponderEliminarActually the big companies control the markets and the politics in all countries; It's a sad to hear the story about the electric car, It will could be a big change in the world,but the oil companies didn't want loses their own money interests and they created a campaign to disappear the electric car, only because it was against to oil use to fuel; the technologic is the main way to improve a better changes in the world against the pollution, the global warming and other bad factors which deteriorate the planet. We have the control of all in our hands,we can do the planet Earth more better if we allow with the new green technologies to improve the life in our world.
ResponderEliminarthe electric car had been a good alternative for pollution but reality is a disaster whit cars tha use gasoline, it's sad that the world are in bad conditions for pollution, maybe if we do conscience about that we could promuve the alternative to electric car, not only for pollution, for save tne fossil fuels and use another energy to balance the planet.

ResponderEliminarI think that is worse that the government and companies only want to have the power and the money of all countries. In my opinion the electric car was a good idea for save the planet. The oil companies and the government didn't want that the people don't buy more gasoline for their cars and the companies didn`t want loses their money. Is imposible that people like us can to change somthing like that because the companies and the government has all the power and the control, but somtimes is important that we search others alternatives for save the planet.
ResponderEliminarI think that definitely the development and the support to the electric cars are stagnant, because is incredible that they appeared in 1996, and nowadays, this technology is used scarcely. I think the big car companies don´t give the necessary importance to this alternative, because for them, must be better to sell conventional cars, and encourage the use of gasoline, because the petrol business is so lucrative.
ResponderEliminarI feel that the automobile companies keep the technology of electric cars, out of the possibilities of the majority of the people, been this cars expensive, and due to it they preffer to buy a traditional car.
I think that we could encourage the electric cars, if we have the money, and buy it, and even if we don´t have the money but we do an effort to buy it. Another way to encourage this technology, is to talk about it with other people, and tell them what you know of this theme.

ResponderEliminarThe problem with the electric car is very big. These oil companies only think about making money, without thinking about others. Thanks to that the oil companies are destroying the world, starting with the global warming and the pollution. If these oil companies had not made the campaign to remove the electric car, we would be destroying the pollution and global the warming right now. We must destroy this big problem fast.
Talking about our country, Mexico is not able to do this yet. It's true that is possible, but this is not gonna happen in a certein time due to the PEMEX union. Around the 45-50 percent of the government's incomes come from this big company. This cipher tell us how big is the plummering of our country because, as we could see with over the time, the union of this company makes that the production cost rase more and more over the years.
ResponderEliminarThis is one of a lot of reasons of why we can progress and reclaim more value of our curious addict to the oil and also that's why politicians could't, and is probable that they will never do, make a new reform to provide others renewable energies using to the cars, like this case with the electric car.
A good start could be with ourselves instead to blame the others whose killed the electric car. We could make a change by using less ours cars or just to show your interest with the environment up. We have to be ready of all those changes that are coming, the only thing that automakers have to do is to reduce or stabilize the cost price to make a this car competitive talking about prices. So with our open mind and with the end of monopoly oil cars, we could turns the world around.
I think that the cars are the best transportation to the people because are comfortable and exist a lot of prices to buy them so the people can get them with more facilities but the the desadventage is that we need buy gasoline 2, 3 or more times at week so at the end is expensive consequently we pay a lot of money and the most important point we contaminate so much the enviromental using the car. The technology create awesome things and products but unfortunality that produce gases or trash that contaminate the enviromental. Meanwhile some cars company create renewable cars like the hydrogen car and I think that is a good possible solution to dicrease the contamination and also we in our houses use renewable energies. In my opinion the electric car was a good option to care the planet and also the oil and electricity have the same cost so is much better chose the electric car than the usual car. However we can buy and use a lot of cars but is important always make awareness of the consecuences.

ResponderEliminari know the answer, first the electric car could be cheaper than the other cars that need gasoline and the companies don`t want to lose their money with this kind of cars. people buy a car, and people need gas for the car, so companies win selling gas and selling cars, so when the electric car came the companies don`t like just because they will lose money, they never think about the good over the planet.
we could ask for a electric car or something like that because if we don`t say anything the thing will be the same. the people need to do events in favor of the electric cars, so that companies will need to sell this kind of cars.
Car use has facilitated people moving from one place to another quickly, however these run on gasoline cause air pollution.
ResponderEliminarIn 1996 gave the initiative of using electric car as a measure to reduce environmental pollution. But its operation was not possible because many people were skeptical and did not believe that an electric car could be better than a gasoline. Also the oil companies did not suit them, because they would get no profit. On the other hand the government as it is linked with the oil industry who see only their own interests.
I think if it is important the manufacture and sale of electric cars because they care for the environment and people's pocket because we paid 11.25 pesos in Mexico per liter of gasoline
who killed the electric car? is very easy to understand.. the electric car is cheaper and makes no pollution, it doesn need gasoline and this is a big problem for the richest countries in the world because their economies depend of the gasoline, i think the ambitious goverments killed the electric car because they control our world they have the power of our economies. it is bad because they dont think about the pollution, they dont care our world,they only think in the bussiness and the money!

Well it is really interesting, and I think the electric cars have more quelities than gasoline cars and EC are less contaminater than the effect which the GAS do in our planet. So even it is a good option to reduce the wars between USA and IRAQ because both countries could create solar panels to create electricity and even exists another ways to create it, I mean is not too necessary the gas for it If we have another ways to create this kind of energy which the cars need.
ResponderEliminarFinally I think that an EC is faster like did mention in the video so maybe is almost the same cost but not the same damage to the environment right? So it is the way we could encourage this technology and mainly ... change our way too see the things and create conscience.

Altough, the main problem is that these transports pullute very much the enviroment, and it also needs fuel that by the time is costs more and more...
Now, as we can see at the trailer, the ''Electric Car'' was going to be a revolucionary car that as we can know, it doesn't pollute and also doesn't need gasline, making it a very economic and usefull car, until the government of rich countries crossed in...
The government made that the electric car almost dissapeard, making it very hard thing to get, And you know why? Yeah, because the rich countries would loose a lot of money just by the people don't buy gasoline anymore, because the richest government become by the time more and more ambititous... ):

My point of view is that nobody in specific have the guilt for this technological stagnation but the ambition of money, definitely big companies have something to be in this issue, is logic that if they are earning millions and millions with their business and then the electric car apears being a great innovation for cars due to its technology that doesn`t pollute and is as eficient as a tipical car, but is a big treat for companies that manufacture common cars, then companies would everything to desapear for ever this new electrics cars. however is kind of stupid that companies have done that, because this was the invent which lot of enviromental and economic problems could be solved, and they could start manofacturing electrical cars, so their business could actually keep going well.
ResponderEliminarwe as costumers could do some things to encourage the next technolagical leap, for exemple we can stop buying tipical cars, if just one big country stop to buy these cars, and make a campaing to show that now we can have very good innovation about cars in the way of technology to care the enviroment and also this car are not too expensive, just the average of a common car, we will certainly push the companies to take actions, maybe in order to consider the campaing to have a good action in pro of it, or maybe againts the campaing but we would make them be aware of the issue.
Well this video show a greatest idea in the world because thanks to this we could to prevent many problems like the pollution, the peak of oil, etc. So the electric car was killed by the government because it can loss a lot of money so it dont want that it happens. So we have to support this idea because is by our own well being.
ResponderEliminarthe electric car is a great and revolutionary idea because is going to change a lot of things first the pollotion because this car doesn't make pollution also the ecomomy because you can save a lot of money due to we won't need gasoline or something like that but who killed this amazing car, it's easy the rich people, companies, the goverment all those kind of person and why all is because the money they want to be rich forever or they don't want lose some of their money and this happen because i think they feel that nobody is going to buy gasoline so this is going to end with his money also because they gasoline affect the economy in different ways and to differents companies or goverments so they wanted to destroyed this amazing car to they don't lose any money.

But right now all it's bussines, the oil is a great business and I think that's the "Why?" the electric car still doesn't appear in a public way, the advantages if we use a electric car are huge! At first: NO POLLUTION! And no more gasoline needed.. As an example Mexico don't want that the electric car came here, Why? Easy, Pemex it's all for us in the economy case... But it's a shame that if we have the technology we don't use it.
