4.- Fame and Power
Watch the following two videos and take notes about each one. After that write a full essay (Introduction, two body paragraphs, conclusion) about the power for construction or destruction obtained with fame, using both stories as examples for your thesis.
The Fame can be used by good and bad porpoises as we can see in this two videos, and it doesn't matter why you became famous you can be a influence for all the persons that admire you just because the fame you've got.
ResponderEliminarIn the first video with the life of the singer Amy Winehouse we can see that she used the fame as a bad way, she started with her musical career and she was really good with what she was doing... But the fame always have a price and she payed in the bad way starting with drinking problems and drugs, The price? Her life after a long time with these problems she self-destructed.
In the second video we can see the good way to use the fame with Nelson Mandela's life as an example. He just wanted democracy and the government put him in jail for 27 years with the charges of conspiracy against his nation, but he didn't wanted to repel those charges and he stayed in jail because it was false. After those 27 years he became president and he put democracy in his country in the right way, he constructed something really big and he is a really good influence.
At the end the fame it's a big responsibility, always it's gonna be your choice and you pay the price if you're using it as a good way or a bad way.

ºFame is the main dream in every person, that's why the fame is overvalorated. Most of the people think that the fame is the most important thing in their lifes. But obviusly that isn't true, and that's what we're going to talk about:
The fame have 2 faces, one of them is the one that goes to the entire world and the other one is the one that goes to personal life... The fame it's a very difficult thing to reach, but nowdays is something easy and simple, but that's not the point... A famous people choose what he wants to do with his fame, to make good, to make ''bad'' or nothing that affects the society.
The power of fame to do bad things is the most common, because of the things that are happening right now, the most notable example is that the famous people thinks that they are so powerfull and they can do whatever they want, that's why they consume drugs and do ilegal things, some kind that happened to Amy Winhouse (R.I.P). And talking about the power of the fame to do good or constructional things is very scarce, because of the way of life in the present. One person can do constructive thing or something that helps the society even without fame, and if that ''idea'' became more and more famous, a person would become famous, and with that fame could do many other things that are helpfull or reconogized by the people.
The fame is a very difficult thing for many reasons, that's why most of the famous people have many problems, but not always. So, if you would became famous... What thing you would do?(:

ResponderEliminarFame can give you power in a way that you can be an icon for many people and your voice can be heared for millions of people, however it can also be dangerous, bacause it could go out of your hands and kill you; a little exemple of this is when you have lot of fame and power that you forget you are not inmmortal you do such of things like consume drugs, lot of alcohol, break the law and so on, until the outcome it`s something terrible for you.
Amy Winehouse was a very succesful singer of her country, as her fame was increasing her adiction to drugs and alcohol were increasing to. in 2003 she debutated with the album FRANK then in 2008 she won 5 gramis in just one night wiith her album "back to blak". in november of 2007 she was arrested. she and her boyfriend used to consume drugs together, she was a very talented singer. but she died so young because of drugs.
then fame can also be constructive for you and a lot of people. Nelson mandela was born in a little village of SouthAfrica, he was the son of the leader of his village so he grew up into leadership actitudes. in 1941 he faced the brutal reality of his country that was divided. he began the atendant meeting of South Africa with non violense protestants. he was named the leader for the campaing to defience unjust laws. in 1956 goverment arrest him; instead of being forgoten he began a simblo for the movement.

ResponderEliminarThe fame is a line where the people who get it decide if they want to use it in the good or bad way. Actually the people who has fame or the most of them use it in the bad way or maybe I haven't seen the nice things they do but really if they do good things inside their fame is just for avoid the taxes.
In these videos is evident that there are two kind of people who did different things with their fame, we going to start with Amy, the pretty girl who was a good student when she was in high school and maybe she had the best childhood ever imagined! BUT she got FAME and she lost all she was, she turned off practically, when she fell in drugs she lost everything like any person who falls in this kind of problems, really her appearance was deteriorated and ugly, her bad mood and personality, so I think she occasioned herself dead, it's a shame rally but it was like it, because I think she had talent and all to be the BEST but she didn't take advantage of it and she only disappeared! This is the bad way of fame of course but there is another who is called THE GOOD WAY OF THE THINGS...
Always in the darkness there is light, and a person who demonstrated it was Nelson M. a hero for many people in the world, he wasn't a RICH man and he didn't has everything in his life but he was a man with values and really a brave man, he defended always the human rights and he fought for a democratic government to get good results for the population in South Africa, there were many problems with the black people and there wasn't peace at all, he was in prison, had many problems for defend to his people but he always wanted to disappear the violence between the people, after all the problems he had all turned well in his life, he brought the peace finally and more good opportunities in 1994, that is a good new really after all.
So in conclusion we have, do not do what all the people want and wish in this world, just do what you heart tell you all the time and the fame will be always good for everybody.

ResponderEliminarthe fame is something that influence a lot in people and it can be in a positive or a negative way all depent in the person how he/she get famous and what he/she do with that fame because the fame can complety became a person to other.
First amy winehouse she starded like all the faous person with a lot of positive thing to do in the future saying thing that has a real meaning that make us think but she finished destroied and all due to fame and is that she started singing song with a lot of emotion and meaning but with the past of the time and the fame she became in a empyt person comsumed by adition and finally destroided by that adictions.
Then we have nelson mandela he starded living withou rights in a poor life but he strove and althought he suffered a lot of injustices he didn't fall in drugs or something like that he continued and when he become in a famous person he didn't look for revenge he just wanted justice and he did with his power a lot of positive thing.
I think that all depent of the person and how he/she is inside because a lot of people break with the fame but other can cotrol it and do a lot of thing for them or for other person. Good video

ResponderEliminarThe fame could be good for somebody who know how use it, but sometimes there are famous people who don't know how use this fame.
There are famous people that they became famous for good things that they did, for example their music, they invented something innovative, or simply good luck.
But as time goes by, for some people the fame involve them in other kind of people, sometimes the reasons are the drugs, money and popularity.
One example of a great famous person who abused of the fame is Amy Winehouse who was a beautiful and great Jazz music singer but for bad influences from her boyfriend, she became addicted to drugs and she lost her life.
Other opposite example is Nelson Mandela life, he was a native from south africa but he studed a lot to have a better life for him and his people, he was prisoner for many years but when he was liberated he became south africa's president.

in the other hand mandela was in the good way he was famous for the good things that he did, he was a normal person who lived and worked in shout africa, he liked to help people, durings his life he had probles because the goverment was in counter of him but he fight and he did his promises.. he became president and the helped people,
in conclusion i can say that the things that happen in your life depends in the way that you take.

and for one reason all the people is alwas looking for it.
the fame can be a good thing if you are ready for this, all the responsability,all the luxuries can be too much for someone, for example this young and talented singer, she could do huge things, good things but she only decides to go in the wrong way, and another examples is when someone with values became famous not for appreciation for the others, just for do the correct and never surreder to the iniquities, two faces of a coin.
i think the fame is something inescapable if you are doing outstanding things and the conclucion depends of what kind of people you are.
